Flu vaccines

Government flu vacccines

We are working hard to offer as many GOVERNMENT flu vaccine appointments as possible over the next 2 - 3 weeks. Private flu vaccine stock remains unavailable at this stage. Please see below for more information.

Please remember, if you have any respiratory symptoms, or if anyone in your household is experiencing respiratory symptoms, we ask you to first book a Telehealth consultation with your doctor to discuss if attending the flu vaccine clinic is appropriate for you.

Who is eligible for Government funded flu vaccines

  • Children 6 months to 5 years*

  • Pregnant women

  • Patients 65 years +

  • Immunocompromised patients and patients suffering from chronic illness (see more information below)

To support our vulnerable patients we will be hosting dedicated clinics for patients 65y+.

Our clinics are well resourced with minimal wait time and no contact with other patients. As an extra precaution, our practitioners wear full personal protective equipment and we encourageyou to wear a face mask if you have one.

When you attend the Flu Vaccine Clinic

  1. Wear a face mask if you have one;

  2. You will be welcomed by a concierge who will ask you several health questions and provide you with instructions;

  3. Please refrain from unnecessary contact with surfaces inside the practice, such as door handles and chairs.

Immunocompromised patients or patients suffering from a chronic illness

If you are immunocompromised, or suffering from a chronic illness, you will need to book a Telehealth appointment with your doctor to confirm your eligibility for the Government flu vaccine, before you can book into a Goverment flu vaccine clinic.

We have introduced this measure to ensure our safety protocols are adhered to. We have experienced patients booking into appointment types which do not apply to them which is a risk to the health and safety of our doctors and staff.

25 March 2020

We experienced unprecedented demand for flu vaccines this year. We correctly anticipated this increased demand and ordered sufficient stock. However, US customs are currently refusing to release a large volume of stock destined for Australia.
