Any patients who are experiencing respiratory symptoms should not attend the practice. Please book a Telehealth consultation first. 

Summary of critical updates

 

  1. To safeguard the community and our team of doctors and staff, patients experiencing even mild respiratory symptoms (which include any sore throat, runny nose, fever, cough, or ear ache) should not attend the practice in person.

  2. Patients with respiratory symptoms can access Telehealth consultations with their GP by selecting the Telehealth icon during booking. Alternatively patients can visit www.doublebaydoctors.com to book a Drive Thru Respiratory Clinic appointment which includes COVID-19 testing. This appointment-only Drive Thru Respiratory Clinic is operating 7 days from Jamberoo Lane in Double Bay, behind Double Bay Doctors.

  3. Where possible, we kindly request that patients do not bring additional friends or family along to appointments at the practice and if you must, please ensure that they are not currently experiencing any respiratory symptoms.

Face to Face and Telehealth Appointments Available

 

At this time, Bondi Doctors has resumed offering face to face appointments at the practice. We will continue to monitor the situation and will revert back to Telehealth only in the event of any spike in local community COVID-19 transmission.

For the safety of our community and staff, it is vital that any patients experiencing any respiratory symptoms do not book consultations to visit the practice. Please book a Telehealth consultation.

 

We are also requesting that well patients do not bring along any family members (e.g. children) who may have any respiratory symptoms.

Respiratory symptoms include any of the following: shortness of breath, cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat or ear ache.

Cost

All eligible Telehealth appointments will be bulk billed.

Private Telehealth consultations are available for patients without Medicare. See further information here.

Emergencies

If you are experiencing an emergency we will be here to help. Accidents requiring wound care, patients experiencing asthma attack, heart conditions, anaphylaxis etc can continue to access immediate care at the practice but we ask patients to phone ahead where possible.
