MARIA SCHAFFER

Clinical Psychologist

Maria is a warm and empathetic clinical psychologist dedicated to supporting clients in achieving their mental health and well-being goals. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney and holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland. Maria works within a

cognitive-behavioural framework to help her patients meet their goals. 


Maria takes a collaborative and evidence-based approach to therapy, creating a safe space where clients feel heard and supported. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults across community and hospital settings, providing both individual and group therapy. Maria has a keen interest in the treatment of anxiety disorders (Panic, Social, GAD, OCD, PTSD), mood disorders, and clinical perfectionism within the adult population. She also provided support to people experiencing everyday life stressors, including relationship and workplace challenges.



Treatment approaches: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy (ST).

Mon 8.00am - 1.00pm  Wed 8.00am - 4.00pm
