Most injuries that occur on the job are covered by workers compensation insurance, including accidents and illnesses caused by exposure to work activities, materials, and equipment.

INITIATING A WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIM
You will require a standard (15 minute) appointment with a GP to assess your accident or injury. This appointment will incur a private out of pocket fee to the patient. This consultation should be fully reimbursed to you by either your employer or insurer upon the acceptance of your claim.
Once accepted, you will receive a unique claim number that you must bring along to your next appointment, along with the contact details of your insurance company.
Once we have received the claim details mentioned above, all future consultation invoices will be sent directly to the insurer until the cessation of your claim.
To ensure continuity of care, it is important that you continue to visit your usual GP for your initial workers compensation appointment and any ongoing review of your workers compensation claim.
