INITIAL CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOLOGY APPOINTMENTS

Children Aged 10 and Under

For the initial appointment, we ask that parents or guardians attend alone, without the child. This session is eligible for a Medicare rebate under the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

When booking, please schedule 2–3 follow-up appointments at the same time, spaced weekly if possible (fortnightly is also acceptable). This ensures continuity of care and allows the therapeutic relationship to develop effectively.

Adolescents Aged 11–17

We recommend that a parent or guardian attend the first appointment together with the adolescent to support the initial assessment.

When booking, please schedule 2–3 follow-up appointments at the same time, spaced weekly if possible (fortnightly is also acceptable). This ensures continuity of care and allows the therapeutic relationship to develop effectively.
